I was especially happy to reconnect with Holly Cusumano. Holly took a private workshop with me a few years back. She’s been continuing to grow as a wonderful encaustic artist. Check out her website: www.hollycusumano.com

NY Times
I was thrilled to find out I was in the NY Times in November for my exhibition at Galerie BMG.
Moore College of Art
Photos from my time spent at Moore College of Art. The curators club invited me to teach an encaustic workshop with a select group of students and graduate students. We enjoyed a day of learning about encaustics, applying beeswax to their photography, drawing, and using found magazine imagery for collage. It was a wonderful experience. Many thanks and warm wishes to Kelicia Pitts (aka Kandy). I’ve known this amazing woman for over 5 years… she was the muse for The Kandy project, a collaborative art project we exhibited throughout several galleries in Philadelphia.

Hahnemuhle Sponsors Workshops
Artists’ Images Above: Ned Weant, Charlie Juliet, Katie Slater, Leah Macdonald
I am proud to announce that my Mixed Media Encaustic and Altered Surface Workshops are now officially sponsored by Hahnemuhle! One of my favorite fine art paper companies is embracing alternative process!
I’ve been a long time lover of these fine art photo rag papers for both my fine art and hand-made Bliss Book albums. The 188 gsm and 308 gsm papers are perfect for my encaustics and I’ve recently started experimenting with their rice paper and heavy weight William Turner paper in my workshops.
It is a dream come true to join forces with such an amazing company and to continue to share my art with the world. Special thanks to Carol Boss and the rest of the Hahnemuhle team… and of course, all of my wonderful students!
“Everyone has their own ways of expression. I believe we all have a lot to say, but finding ways to say it is more than half the battle.”
